Glyptostrobus pensilis^[3] er eina núlifandi tegundin í ættkvíslinni Glyptostrobus. Hún er ættuð frá heittempruðum svæðum suðaustur Kína, frá Fujian vestur til suðaustur Yunnan, og einnig staðbundið í norður Víetnam.

Þetta er meðalstórt til stórt tré, að 30 m hátt og með um 1 m stofnþvermál.
