Cistanthe monosperma^[1] er plöntutegund sem var fyrst lýst af Edward Lee Greene, og fékk sitt núverandi nafn af M.A. Hershkovitz.^[2] Hún er ættuð frá vesturhluta Norður-Ameríku.^[3]
