: Hi Johan. I sometimes find the machine translation useful as a starting point, but it usually requires an almost total rewrite. Its usefulness lies in finding translations of key concepts and automatically linking them to the relevant Wikipedia-article (saves time on creating wikilinks). Sometimes the software surprises me with a more or less adequate translation, but most of the time I need to rephrase and retranslate a lot. Often, after trying out the machine translation, I realise that starting with a carte blanche is quicker. In the samples you provided the first two (Jazz) can all be useful as starting points, with A better than B in both cases. For the second pair (Ancient Egypt) my rough estimate is that only A would be useful as a starting point. The third pair (African Crake) none of the examples are useful starting points. The last pair (Cereal) are actually all quite good, especially the last paragraph (both A and B), and are useful as starting points. Hope this helps.
