These soldiers are from the rebel forces, as stated by Rep. Wolf: "I traveled nearly 1,000 miles by plane to the towns of Goma and Bukavu in eastern Congo to meet with opposition groups/Automatic weapons are prevalent in both Goma and Bukavu".
