Hi, I've just stopped my bot on this wiki ([[:User:TXiKiBoT|TXiKiBoT]]), so that it isn't adding new interwiki links. In any case, I think reducing the number of bots working on this wiki isn't helpful neither for Icelandic Wikipedia nor for the Wikipedia project. My bot is globally flagged (I know you don't agree with that), and it works adding, correcting and removing interwiki links on all the languages of Wikipedia, taking any of them as a starting point. I also take Icelandic Wikipedia as a starting point in many cases.
Specially, my bot works on finding new unlinked pages, those that creators leave without interwiki links, like in [http://is.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Flokkur:Gr%C3%ADskt_stafr%C3%B3f&diff=prev&oldid=878038 this edit on wiki:is]. The problem comes up when my bot finds incorrect interwiki links. It will fix the incorrect link in every Wikipedia but Icelandic. Thus, the problem of interwiki conflicts will still persist, not only for Icelandic Wikipedia, but also for the rest of languages, because of the way in which wiki-bots work.
Please, re-think your new bot policy, as it may be really harmful for the Wikipedia project. Note that even if the number of bot edits is extremely large, it's very useful for the maintenance of Wikipedia, and you can easily filter them in the recent changes. Best regards.
