Hi, my Icelandic is almost nonexistent and I am unable to even slightly expand the article. But at the very least this article could mention that there are three Frisian languages: West Frisian or Westerlauwer Frisian in the Netherlands, Saterlandic in [[:en:Saterland|Saterland]] (Low Saxony, Germany), and North Frisian. ::Hi Berserkur, thank you for acting and responding so swiftly. As you might know, there is no linguistic criterion as to what is a language and what is a dialect. It has a lot to do with politics and identity: Faroese is not a dialect of Icelandic, while Jutlandic is a dialect of Danish. The three Frisian languages have sometimes been called dialects, but I think that is not very accurate. For one thing, the three languages are not mutally intelligible. They have dialects themselves, which in the case of North Frisian are very divergent from one another. For another thing, the speakers don't identify as one people. Few Frisians in the Netherlands are even aware that Frisian is also spoken in Germany. Third, there is no governing body for all languages together, while there are governing bodies for both West and North Frisian.
::Imagine that you would expand this page even further, to include sections about Frisian grammar, phonology, vocabulary etc. It would make no sense to squeeze info about all three languages into one article. You'd definitely have to treat them like separate languages. So that's what I would do if I were you.
